We are seeking a Field Service Engineer on behalf of our client, a global life sciences leader, to join their expanding service team supporting customers across the biotech and pharma production sector. With a strong reputation for innovation, reliability, and career development, this is an exceptional opportunity to establish yourself in a field-based role at the heart of the industry. As Field Service Engineer, you will install, maintain, and service complex production equipment used in biopharma manufacturing. Based near Amsterdam/Leiden, you will primarily cover the immediate territory but will occasionally travel across the wider Benelux region. This role combines hands-on engineering with customer interaction, providing the chance to develop both technical expertise and commercial acumen. Key Responsibilities – Field Service Engineer
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment at customer sites.
  • Support customers, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance of equipment.
  • Work closely with colleagues in an international team of service engineers.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, customer focus, and service excellence.
Candidate Profile – Field Service Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or similar)
  • Experience in pharma or biotech environments advantageous, but not essential.
  • Open to technicians with up to 5 years’ experience.
  • Strong motivation and genuine interest in life sciences, biotech, and field service work are essential.
  • Based near Amsterdam or Leiden, with flexibility for Benelux travel.
  • Adaptable, customer-oriented, and eager to grow into a long-term field engineering career.
Why Join Our Client
  • Join a globally respected life sciences company, supporting biopharma customers who make a real impact on human health.
  • Be part of a growing service team, with two new positions created due to expansion and one to replace a retiring colleague.
  • Clear career development path, with structured training and progression opportunities.
  • Competitive package including base salary, 12% bonus, hotel/training allowances, and comprehensive benefits.
  • International environment with a supportive team culture, where motivation and ambition are valued as highly as experience.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated engineer — whether fresh from university or with early career experience — to step into a field service role with purpose. If you are based near Amsterdam/Leiden and want to build a career in the life sciences sector, we want to hear from you.
